Wallace D. Bates III

Wallace D. Bates III is the Vice Chair for Black Greeks Speak Social Justice and Human Rights Council and is the founder of the YITB Network, an exclusive online global professional networking site for Black Greek Letter Organization members.  He has over 16 years’ of corporate development and managerial experience with specific expertise in project management, relationship management and strategic planning. Wallace has worked with top-tier telecommunication companies, serving as Senior Business Analyst for Ericsson, Senior Business and Market Analyst for Sprint PCS and Verizon. Wallace also worked as a Senior Associate for Legacy Equity Advisors, a Private Equity firm specializing in High Net Worth Individual and Public Pension Fund investments. He led numerous research and business intelligence projects related to market studies, trends, new investment opportunities and competitive analysis.

 

Mr. Bates has worked in the Mortgage Industry for 5 years and was a key contributor to taking a Distributed Retail channel from 4M to 300M in volume per month within 14 months.  He was involved intimately in corporate strategy, drafting the business / growth plan and driving the development of the company's infrastructure. Throughout his career Wallace has been highly recognized for his strategic business case development and execution ability and has a proven track record for implementing planned and measurable procedures and for establishing strong partnering relationships on a national scale. He earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Economics and History from Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas and studied abroad at Oxford University in England, with an emphasis in diplomatic policy. Wallace is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
