Lavell “Dinky” Williams

Lavell “Dinky” Williams is currently the Director of Strength and Conditioning at the University of Northern Colorado where he is responsible for developing, implementing, conducting and monitoring the strength and conditioning programs for all of UNC’s athletic programs to include football, men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball, cross country and track, soccer, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf and bowling. For more than fifteen years, he has served on the strength and conditioning staffs of eight collegiate or professional sports teams including Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Alcorn State University, and the Dallas Cowboys. In addition he has helped facilitate various student athletic programs for young people across the country and has facilitated training and developing others that desire to work with student athletics.

 

Dinky has not only worked with college athletes, but also has contributed to helping college athletes matriculate through college, helping to ensure that student athlete always remember the value of first being a student. Dinky earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies and Master’s Degree in Forensics from Texas Tech University. He later received his second Master’s Degree in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado. Dinky is also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
